"In his presidential address delivered at the 1940 Lahore session of the Muslim League, Mohammed Ali Jinnah declared, "It is a dream that the Hindus and Muslims can ever evolve a common nationality... the Hindus and Muslims belong to two different religious philosophies, social customs, and literatures... indeed they belong to two different civilisations... to yoke together two such nations under a single state... must lead to growing discontent and final destruction of any fabric that may be built."

RIOTS OF 1992-93 MUMBAI & 2001 GHODRA RIOTS.

These two riots are frequently rather quoted in IA (Prof. Amirtya Sen, Sept. 2006, P Thomas Ja.,2007, and many others} and many others papers without proper dissections of facts. Obviously, this is  just to make points against the Hindus in India. They never go to the hidden trut Here is some information are presented for appropriate evaluation.
“”According to the Srikrishna Commission Report which investigated the 1992-93 riots……
About 900 (575 Muslims, 275 Hindus, 45 unknown and 5 others) lost their lives in the riots. In 2000, a special task force under the supervision of K P Raghuvanshi (the same person who is investigating the 2006 Mumbai train blasts case) was set up to review the closed cases. A total of 1,358 cases were closed after being found "true but not detected." Around 112 cases were scrutinised, of which eight were reopened”

Consider the facts. On February 27, 2002, coach S-6 of the Sabarmati Express, a train carrying kar sevaks, was attacked at Godhra station in Gujarat. Fifty-eight people were incinerated, and the resultant anger led to a week of intense riots. The violence eventually killed, as per figures given to Parliament by the UPA Government on May 11, 2005, 790 Muslims and 254 Hindus, many of the latter dying in police firing.”

Though 1991 & 2001 Muslim population was 12.1 & 13.4%, im Mumbai riot

575(70%) Muslims, 275 (30%) Hindus and and Ghodra riot790(75.7%)Muslims and 254(24.3%)Hindus, lost their lives.

It is obvious that Muslims did better job in comparative killing of the Hindus in both occasions. This is the difference between what happens in Bangladesh, where only the Hindus gets killed. Example of this:

"Minority cleansing in Bangladesh

Author: Hiranmay Karlekar
Publication: The Pioneer
Date: November 30, 2001

Begum Khaleda Zia, Prime Minister of Bangladesh, must be grateful to the war in Afghanistan which continues to hog media attention the world over. Otherwise the large-scale atrocities on the minorities (Hindus, Buddhists and Christians) and the Fascist repression on political opponents and dissenters, continuing in that country since the general elections of October 1 which returned her Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) to power with a massive majority, would have attracted worldwide condemnation. The situation is grim for the minorities. Terrorised by murders, rapes, looting of property, burning of houses, and assaults on a large scale, over 15,000 Hindus have already crossed over to the border areas of West Bengal. About 100,000 more are reportedly trying to follow suit but are being hindered by police and para-military personnel ordered to stop them.

The Bangladesh Government has, of course, sought to play down the scale of the atrocities. In a recent statement in the country's Jatiya Sangsad (National Parliament), the country's Home Minister, Mr Altaf Hussain Choudhury, put the number of those killed and raped over a period of 25 days at 266 and 213 respectively. While these figures are high enough, the actual incidence of the crimes appears to have been much higher. Governments invariably seek to understate the extent of violence and atrocities on all such occasions....". President Carter was one of the election monitors of 2001 Bangladeshi election. Prof. Amirtya Sen was then in New Delhi meeting Shabna Ajmi's husband Javed Akhtar for some private matter.

In 1971 Pakistani Army killed some 2.5 million Bengali Hindus (no, not a misprint) in E Pakistan. Not many Indians including Hindu Bengali know this.

Prof. Sen, previous chief minister of W. Bengal Sri. Jyoti Basu, present chief minister Sri. Buddhadev Bhattacharya are originally from Bangladesh.

They are sad about the Muslim's plights in Bombay and Ghodra riots. This is very nice of them. Have any one heard of them talking about  the Delhi Sikh riot, plights of the Kashmiri Pundits or the Bangladeshi Hindus?

"Crisis of Hindu Bengalis

Author: Abhijit Bhattacharyya
Publication: The Pioneer

Date: November 15, 2001

The ruling Bangladesh Nationalist Party's call for imposition of Jaziya on the Hindu Bengalis (as reported in the Bangla daily, Sangbad) typifies the phrase: "History repeats itself." What was a hypothesis yesterday, however, is a reality today as Hindu Bengalis in Bangladesh are facing the grim prospect of forced conversion, inevitable death or inevitable (and ignominious) migration to India..."  Migration to India!!. This must be a cruel juke. W Bengal  and Indian government do everything possible, so that these forgotten Bangladshi Hindus may not enter India.

One story goes like this: One news paper man asked one Indian ambassador in Bangladesh "why don't you do something for the Bngladeshi Hindus? His answer was " Ther are not Indian citizens".

"Subramanian Swamy to talk on Hindus under seige
Monday, 08.13.2007, 12:44am (GMT-7)

NEW JERSEY: A talk on 'Hindus Under Siege - The Way Out' will be delivered by Dr. Subramanian Swamy former Indian minister, at an event organized by the Save Temples Organization, at the Dwarakadhish Temple in Parlin, New Jersey on Aug 17.

The talk, which will highlight the alarming threat to Hindus in India, is based on Dr. Swamy's well known book of the same title. The event includes a FACT exhibition that throws light on ethnic cleansing at Kashmir and Bangladesh, which has already been seen by many US Congressmen. Dr. Subramanian Swamy has been a Member of Parliament and Cabinet Minister.

He has a doctorate in economics from Harvard University and continues to be a visiting faculty member at that University. According to Dr. Swamy, Hindus today are under an invisible and highly multi-dimensional siege as never before; and that the manifestation of this siege can be seen by those alerted to it. He argues that Hindus must collectively acquire a new mind set, to meet the growing challenge from this siege which is international in character. Otherwise over the coming millennium, Hindus run the risk of perishing like the ancient Greeks, Egyptians or Babylonians.

In his book, Dr. Swamy describes the siege in four major dimensions:Religious: The religious dimension can be seen in the denigration of Hindu Saints, Hindu icons and colossal scale of looting of Hindu Temples to the point of extinction in most parts of India. Like, for instance, false cases on Shankaracharya Swami Jayendra Saraswati; cases against Swami Ramadev; attempt to take away five out of the seven sacred Tirumala Hills for Churches and Tourism; large scale encroachments and sale of temple lands by Governments all over Southern India; Rama Sethu destruction, Joshua missionary project to seek out and convert every temple mason so that there are no more new Hindu temples built in the world.Psychological: This dimension can be seen in the foisting of a fraudulent version of Hindu history and using media to defame Hindu Symbols and Institutions. For instance, the collusion of Leftists and missionary organizations with media to denigrate Hinduism & Hindu Symbols; continued teaching of history that suited British rulers; and the treatment of the Jayendra Saraswati case by the media.Physical:

This is evident in the Islamic terrorist-driven ethnic cleansing of Hindus in Kashmir and Bangladesh, and the money-induced conversion of Hindus to Christianity. For example, Islamic Terrorist attacks occurring all over India; targeted attacks on temples such as Akshara Dham; Rev. Pat Robertson's declaration to convert 100 million Hindus; Ron Watts massive illegal conversions (15,018 on single day in Ongole, Andhra Pradesh); rejection of anti-conversion bills by Sonia Gandhi-led UPA Government; denial of public services unless converted to Islam in a district in Tamil Nadu following Islamists' victory in local elections.Cultural:

This fourth dimension can be seen through globalization of tastes, dress and interpersonal morality that are determined in the West.In conclusion, Dr. Swamy argues that Hindus must hang together or ultimately they will hang separately. It is imperative, therefore, that Hindus open their eyes and pay attention to the alarming situation and the solutions which Dr. Swamy suggests in his book.Hindus suffer from mythical escapist idea that nothing will happen to Hinduism ignoring the facts that over the decades, they lost Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and all four North Eastern States of India. Hindus have to go past the denial phase and become united to face the threat as evident in Bangladesh and Kashmir, Dr. Swamy says.

Owaisi’s secularism seeks special privileges for Muslims
Dr. Atul C. Sarma ---- Louisville, KY: With reference to the news item —Muslims are forced to take to fundamentalism: Owaisi —reported by J.V. Lakshamana Rao in India Tribune dated September 1, I have to state that Member of Parliament Asaduddin Owaisi did a highly fabricated and divisive disservice to India. His presentation was based on full of misinformation, if not disinformation, to divide our North American Indian community as well as our multi-dimensional society back in the country. Contrary to the spirit of the nation, Owaisi insinuated his support to the fundamentalism leading to further propagation of terrorism in the pretext of “fundamental rights of Indian Muslims” in “secular India.” I wish being an MP, Owaisi would respect the essence of secularism. Democratic secularism does not imply any political empowerment, special privileges, quota system and specific consideration on the basis of religions, castes and creeds. Through ages, there is coexistence among all religions — Hinduism, Islam, Buddhism, Christianity, Jainism and others — until opportunistic leaders tend to crack on the pillar of the Indian secularism. As he stated, for the lack of education, economic conditions and other socio-cultural disparities, the Muslims of India have been led to fundamentalism, then to terrorism. When more than 80 percent of the population — irrespective of religious, linguistic and cultural diversity, are living in identical impoverishment, if not worst than the Muslims of India, what could be the motive of political leaders, like Owaisi, behind such irresponsible analysis? India’s educational, economic and employment scenario does not build on any basis other than national reality. Being an Indian immigrant of Assam origin, I am staggered to reading the Owaisi’s statistical analysis on Assam. He stated that Assam’s current Islamic population is 40 percent; but he skillfully avoided to report the true story of the Northeast India’s population demography. Prior to the creation of Islamic Pakistan and secular India, the indigenous Islamic population of the greater Assam (now divided into six states) was less than 5 percent. After creation of the hills states (predominantly Christians), the Islamic population of Assam during division time increased to about 10 percent, because the hill states have been protected from non-indigenous people. Starting about 1960s, the Islamic population of Assam is mushrooming disproportionately. Now, it is 40 percent as per Owaisi’s data, which was less than 30 percent a few years ago. Could Owaisi tell the truth to explain how this demographic disproportion is taking place in Assam? The answer is easy to find: The continuous migration of Bangladeshi Islamic people into Assam at the behest of national Islamic organizations and leaders, the sinister design of mapping Assam as Muslim majority region is easy to achieve. The politics over this invasion has been a pain for Assam through the last four decades. Today there is very little forest and government land left where there are no Bangla-deshi settlers. Taking Islamic Jehadi assistance from outside, thousands of Madrasas are being built which become a breeding ground of fundamentalists and terrorists. The India government has due documents that the bombing in Gujarat, Hyderbad and other places of the country have roots in Bangladesh via Assam. As many as 80 percent of terrorist bombings in Assam have been conducted by Islamic individuals. It is also known that Jehadi entities of Islamic networks have link with the Northeast terrorist elements to continue subversive activities. For example, the killing of Hindi-speaking people living in Assam along with indigenous people, has been conducted by those elements aided by Bangla-deshi and Pakistani Jehadis promoting more intrusion of Bangladeshi Islamic people. Today, Bangladesh is the haven for the Northeast terrorist leaders relaying subversive terrorizing activities in the Northeast. The unique social culture of Assam/the Northeast India stood tall with amicable and peaceful coexistence of people belonging to Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, Jainism and others through its entire history until the chaos of hatred, jealousy, and conflict of incompetence (the root cause of so-called global fundamentalism alias terrorism) started along with the massive invasion of Bangladeshi Islamic Jehadis. The government employment, referred to by Owaisi, would have to be satisfactory to Islam only if all the Bangladeshi invaders are being employed prior to the employment of hundreds and thousands of unemployed indigenous young men and women of the land. Let us be human first, then Indian. Our faith, language, culture and diversity must not stain the great sense of secularism in India. The today’s history of mankind depicts the evils created out of hatred, jealousy and inferiority complex through out the world. India must continue the vision of unity, peace and solidarity. A religion is not a human religion if it does not teach unity for one and all. A language is not a human language if it does not speak to the mankind. A culture that does not respect socio-cultural assimilation, it cannot be a human culture.
